Manchester City are set to make a first official offer for AC Milan star Tijani Reijnders, according to Nicolo Schira.
Schira reports that an official bid by the Premier League giants is imminent.
He only signed a new contract with Milan in recent weeks until 2030 at around €3.5 million per season.
But City will offer a huge increase in an attempt to convince Reijnders to sign.
Reijnders to Man City?
Pep Guardiola is a massive fan of the Dutch midfielder, who can play as a number 8 or in a deeper role.
The Premier League giants are prepared to spend big to pry the 26-year-old international from AC Milan – possibly for the biggest fee in the Italian club’s history.
AC Milan are aware of the interest and expect a bid as soon as the transfer window opens. However, the club would only be willing to talk if the offer surpasses the Rossoneri’s current sales record.

That is held by Kaka, who left for Real Madrid in 2009 for €67m. The Italians consider Reijnders to be more valuable than Sandro Tonali, who left for Newcastle United in 2023 for an initial €58.9m.
It is reported in Italy that Milan will sit down at the table with City if an offer exceeds €70m.
City plan to invest heavily in their midfield this summer as they will lose Kevin de Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan when their contracts expire.
Reijnders joined Milan from AZ in 2023 and soon developed into one of the best midfielders in Serie A.
In 2024-25 he was arguably Milan’s player of the season, scoring 15 goals and delivering five assists in all competitions.
These numbers are particularly impressive considering Milan endured one of the worst seasons in their history, as they failed to qualify for Europe and were knocked out of the Champions League in the playoffs.
