Man Utd favourite Ander Herrera ‘snubs swap transfer to Tottenham as he would only consider return to Old Trafford’

FORMER Manchester United star Ander Herrera has reportedly ruled out a move to Tottenham due to his loyalty for the Red Devils.

It’s yet another blow to Antonio Conte in this transfer window with fans desperate for new additions.

Ander Herrera says he would only return to the Premier League with Manchester United

According to The Athletic, Herrera’s name was mentioned as being part of a deal that would see Tanguy Ndombele head the other way to Paris Saint-Germain.

But Herrera insists he is ‘happy’ at the French giants and ‘would only want to play for Manchester United in England’.

But for Ndombele, it seems a matter of when and not if he leaves the Londoners.

And it looks like a return to familiar surroundings for the man Spurs paid a club-record fee of £65million for.

He has has returned to Lyon on loan until the end of the season for a fee of £1.25million.

Fans arrived at the airport in the French city to greet the midfielder who returns to the club following his departure in the summer of 2019.

Ndombele underwent a medical before finalising his loan switch to Lyon, which is believed to include an option to buy.

Antonio Conte has frozen him out since arriving in North London and was desperate to get rid of him this month.

Valencia reportedly had a bid accepted by Spurs but Ndombele was keen to return to France.

Tottenham are now set for a busy deadline day with more outgoings still possible.
