Manchester United are reportedly confident of pulling off a stunning transfer for Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane this summer.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the England captain for some time, and it appears they are now ready to make their move.
According to reports, United have already made contact with Kane’s representatives and are willing to pay him a staggering £200,000-a-week salary.
Kane, who is currently the Premier League’s top scorer with 19 goals, is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford and is reportedly open to the idea of joining the Red Devils.
The 26-year-old has been a long-term target for United and it appears they are now ready to make their move.
Kane has been in sensational form for Spurs this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions and providing a further 10 assists.
He has been a key figure in Jose Mourinho’s side and has been instrumental in their push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Kane is also a proven goalscorer at the highest level, having scored over 20 goals in each of the last five seasons.
United are in desperate need of a top-class striker and Kane would certainly fit the bill.
He would add a much-needed cutting edge to the United attack and would be the perfect foil for the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Kane is also a proven leader and would bring a winning mentality to the United dressing room.
It remains to be seen if United can pull off a deal for Kane this summer, but if they do, it would be a major coup for the club.
