Marcus Rashford is close to leaving Manchester United for Barcelona as Hansi Flick has now approved a move for the England star.
Rashford, 27, is eager to leave Old Trafford in search of a new opportunity and Ruben Amorim’s side are determined to sanction his departure before the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
The Blaugrana have turned their attention to finalising a deal for Rashford following their failure to land Athletic Club superstar Nico Williams, and a transfer could be completed soon.
That is according to Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto, who claims that Flick has given the ‘green light’ for Barcelona to pursue a summer deal.
Fresh talks are reportedly expected to take place in the coming days and negotiations could become “increasingly concrete” within the next few weeks as Rashford continues to set his sights on completing a move to Camp Nou.
The England international scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances during a short loan spell at Aston Villa last term, and Barcelona view him as a player capable of providing much-needed attacking depth.
Barcelona to complete Roony Bardghji transfer
Meanwhile, transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Barcelona’s imminent signing of Copenhagen wonderkid Roony Bardghji.
He posted on X: “Roony Bardghji will land in Barcelona today as he’s set to sign as new Barça player.
“Deal over €2m agreed weeks ago with FC Copenhagen and medical also completed.”
Bardghji was previously wanted by several Premier League clubs, including Man Utd, however Barcelona have won the race for his signature, and he is expected to provide cover for Lamine Yamal on the right flank.
