Juventus have decided to formally open talks to sign Manchester United striker Ramus Hojlund after positive initial contact, according to Italian media.
The Denmark international is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford. Despite a significant investment in 2023, which has since risen to €77.8 million, Man Utd are increasingly open to offloading Hojlund this summer.

The 22-year-old has failed to consistently score for the Red Devils, with this season in particular proving an eminently difficult one for the young forward.
Five of Hojlund’s nine goals this season came in the opening rounds of the Europa League group stage. He has not managed to score in Europe since mid-December, while he only boasts four goals in 29 Premier League outings so far.
Hojlund has reached a crossroads in his career, and the striker needs to decide whether to continue at Man Utd this summer or to pursue a new challenge.

Man Utd will not stand in Hojlund’s way if their valuation is met, but reports in Italy suggested last month that the Red Devils are holding out for around €60 million, which saw Napoli drop their interest.
Hojlund still enjoys a sparkling reputation in Serie A after a short but intense stint at Atalanta, and Juventus have now moved to open talks with the Dane.
According to Calciomercato, the Old Lady received a positive response after making initial contact with Hojlund and are now willing to proceed with more formal negotiations to beat any potential competition to the punch.
Dusan Vlahovic is expected to leave the club this summer, while there is also uncertainty surrounding Randal Kolo Muani. The latter started his loan stint from PSG like a house on fire but has scored just once since early February.
Hojlund could fill the vacuum left behind by the two strikers, although a move will likely hinge on qualification for the Champions League or, at the very least, on the Bianconeri securing a significant fee for Vlahovic.
