Eintracht Frankfurt are now demanding €100 million for Manchester United target Hugo Ekitike, according to German media.
The Frenchman is enjoying a brilliant season with the Eagles, who are on course to qualify for the Champions League via the Bundesliga for the first time in club history.
Osimhen makes official transfer announcement
Frankfurt currently sit third in the table thanks in no small part to Ekitike, who has contributed with an impressive 21 goals and nine assists across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has had to make do without his partner in crime Omar Marmoush in the second half of the season, but it has not stopped him from scoring prolifically.
Due to his form, Frankfurt have already accepted that Ekitike will likely leave this summer. In fact, the club is ’99 per cent’ sure that he will move and that he will fetch them another handsome fee.

Ekitike’s new price tag
Frankfurt have made a habit of selling strikers for big money in recent seasons, and they are planning to do the same with Ekitike. Previously, it was claimed that they would listen to offers in the region of €80 million for the French youth international.
However, BILD now asserts that Frankfurt will actually demand closer to €100m for Ekitike. Thanks to the €75 million brought in via the sale of Marmoush and the lucrative revenues that qualification for the Champions League would entail, Frankfurt are under no pressure to sell on the cheap.

It remains to be seen if any clubs would be willing to pay that much for the 22-year-old, but what is certain is that Man Utd will not be one of them. The cash-strapped Red Devils are among Ekitike’s suitors, but their financial issues make a €100m deal impossible.
Ekitike grew up a Man Utd fan, but his hefty price tag is likely to ruin his dream move to Old Trafford. Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle are also interested in the highly-rated forward.
