Manchester United have rejected Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic for a second time this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Serbia international finds himself on the outside looking in in Turin. Juventus have been trying for several windows to get Vlahovic off the books as he is on the most lucrative contract in Serie A but rarely justifies his salary.

The Bianconeri have also attempted to convince the striker to sign a new deal on a smaller wage, but Vlahovic has shown no inclination to reduce his current terms.

He is not outright opposed to leaving Juventus, but he will only do so for a project that suits him. He knows that he won’t get a cushy contract like this again, so he is in no rush to get out unless he is truly attracted to a side.

One such club are Man Utd. As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers in mid-June, the 25-year-old’s representatives offered him to the Red Devils, but nothing ultimately came of it at the time.

Man Utd snub Vlahovic – again

Now, Fabrizio Romano reports that the Serb has again been proposed to Man Utd, but with the same outcome. The transfer insider asserts that the Old Trafford club informed Vlahovic that their clear priority right now is Benjamin Sesko.

“Man Utd in the last three days – Saturday, Sunday, Monday morning – have been offered the possibility to sign Dusan Vlahovic again,” Romano revealed on his YouTube channel.

“Vlahovic is out of the Juventus project, Vlahovic is a player who can leave Juventus for a good proposal and he has been offered to Man Utd again. It’s something like, ‘Okay, if you can’t get a deal done for Benjamin Sesko, Vlahovic is an opportunity, he is ready, he is on the table.’

“But Man Utd’s reply during the whole three days was: ‘We are focused on Sesko, we want to go for Sesko, we are still in for Sesko.’ So, United are waiting for that story as a priority.”
