RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has been left impressed by Man Utd’s efforts to sign him after the Red Devils stepped up their pursuit of the 22-year-old.

Man Utd have presented a detailed sporting and financial proposal to the player, but formal talks with Leipzig have not yet taken place as the Old Trafford club are currently unable to afford Sesko.

Signing a new goalkeeper has become a priority for Man Utd, who were initially unsure if they wanted to spend a part of their limited budget on a new shot-stopper.

However, it has now been decided that a new man between the sticks is needed, which has once again cast doubt on Andre Onana’s future at Old Trafford.

Long-serving Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw appears to be unlikely to leave the club this summer after receiving a massive vote of confidence from Ruben Amorim.

There had been questions over Shaw’s future at the club earlier this summer, and even more recently, reports had claimed that the England international was unsure of his place in the squad.

However, Amorim has now seemingly put those doubts to bed by describing the 30-year-old as ‘world-class’ and a ‘great player’ who he is ‘pleased’ to have at his disposal.
