Marc Guehi has agreed personal terms to join Liverpool, according to Nicolo Schira.

Schira reports that talks between Guehi’s agents and Liverpool have reached a positive conclusion.

The Crystal Palace defender has accepted a contract offer until 2030 and given his availability to join Liverpool.

Guehi’s contract with Palace expires in 2026 and he is not willing to sign a new deal.

Guehi to Liverpool

Guehi has established himself as one of the best centre backs in the Premier League and was part of a Palace team who won the FA Cup last month.

Liverpool are in the market for a top centre back this summer as they continue a spending spree that has already seen them sign Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez.

The Reds have now moved significantly ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign Guehi.

Chelsea tried to sign the 24-year-old in January but Palace refused to sell mid-season.

Guehi grew up in Chelsea’s youth system from the age of seven and graduated all the way to the first team.

However, he only played two games in the EFL Cup before he was loaned to Swansea in 2020 and eventually sold to Crystal Palace in 2021.

At Palace he has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, making over 150 appearances.

He has been capped 23 times by England and he impressed during Euro 2024 on the way to the final.
