Wolves star Matheus Cunha has posted a cryptic message on social media with the forward edging closer to a summer move to Manchester United.
Mail Sport revealed on Monday that Man United are edging closer to an agreement with Cunha over a summer move.
United will still need to activate the Brazilian’s £62.5million release clause but are hopeful of having terms in place by next month while they still have headroom under Profit and Sustainability Rules.
The 25-year-old Brazil international posted on social media from Wolves training ground on Wednesday, with the forward sharing a photo from the gym.
Cunha captioned the photo ‘Let’s work shall we… Too much conversation’, while tagging team-mates Yerson Mosquera and Nelson Semedo who appeared in conversation in the background.
The post, however, comes amid the growing expectation that the forward could make a move to Old Trafford this summer.

Cunha is eager to work under Ruben Amorim and be part of the project at Old Trafford
As Mail Sport revealed, Newcastle United have been the main competition for Cunha’s signature, and they were keen to utilise him on the left of their attack, but the 25-year old looks to have been swayed by the prospect of playing a pivotal role in Ruben Amorim’s squad revamp.
Amorim has made no secret of his admiration for Cunha, praising his versatility and goals output.
The United manager was also spotted in conversation with Cunha after United and Wolves met at Molineux and again in the tunnel at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Cunha has previously appeared to issue messages on social media around his future.
Earlier this month he wrote on an Instagram story: ‘Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool.’
The story was visible for just a handful of minutes before being removed, but some Wolves fans criticised his post online.
Cunha responded to the account Talking Wolves: ‘Do you know what you want? For people to not like me here, unfortunately I’m going to the field to solve the problem of your favourite club. I’m not here looking for alternatives to be someone important.
‘Fans root for their own, they don’t create misfortunes all the time.’

Talking Wolves then replied, saying: ‘Completely false. You would have seen us praising you and supporting you from day one. We’re reporting the news and what’s happening. Stop blaming your personal mistakes on us.’
In response, Cunha added: ‘I’m sorry but that’s exactly what you want. The first one to report fake news, not what was really in the news.
‘I make a video and pretend it’s irrelevant. What you don’t understand is that you are an opinion maker, if you don’t like me, that’s fine friend. Let’s do the following, in common we only have the Wolves that I love so much.’

How maverick Matheus Cunha became the star to save Man United – with help from Ronaldinho
Man United legend Gary Neville, speaking earlier this week, insisted Cunha would suit Amorim’s system and help the club’s search to add more goals to the team.
‘They’re desperate in that position, he would suit the system,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘They’ve let Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford go, they’re playing with Garnacho at the moment but that leaves them lopsided.
‘They need someone who can beat players, someone who is equally as good at running through the middle with the ball.
‘They need to score goals, Manchester United’.
Cunha has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for Wolves in 32 appearances this season.
