United States international Yunus Musah could be one of many USMNT stars on the move this summer, with Serie A champions Napoli said to be in talks to sign the Milan midfielder according to Fabrizio Romano.
Musah joined Milan in 2023 and made 29 Serie A appearances last season, 19 of which were starts, but the 22-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to Napoli, with personal terms not likely to be an issue.
With talks already ‘well underway’ according to Romano, Musah’s departure could mark the second major midfield sale of the summer for Milan, with Tijjani Reijnders set to join Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Musah’s international teammate Johnny Cardoso is not expected to join Atletico Madrid before the close of the Club World Cup transfer window on Tuesday night.
The Real Betis midfielder has been in talks with Atletico for a number of weeks and, while negotiations are ongoing, Romano has confirmed there is ‘no chance’ the deal will be done by the close of the mini transfer window.
USMNT stars on the move
Matt Turner is another USMNT player who has found a new club this summer after Lyon agreed to purchase the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper for €8m.
Turner spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, a club partially owned by John Textor and he is now set to join another of the American’s clubs in Lyon.

Among the other United States internationals who could be on the move this summer, Gio Reyna is set to be allowed to depart Dortmund for a cut-price fee, with his contract expiring next summer.
The 22-year-old has failed to break into the German side’s team and, while he will travel with them for the Club World Cup in America, he will also be allowed to pursue a move elsewhere.
