Free-agent pitcher Aaron Nola has re-signed with the Philadelphia Phillies on a seven-year contract worth $172million, according to reports.

Nola was one of seven players to reject $20m qualifying offers from the Phillies earlier this month after his previous contract expired at the end of the 2023 season.

But according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the 30-year-old has extended his career-long stay with the franchise by another seven years after penning a lucrative new deal.
