Former flame of Noah Syndergaard, Alex Cooper, criticizes MLB free agent after parting ways with the Cleveland Guardians: ‘He is struggling to secure a contract’

Former Barstool Sports podcaster Alex Cooper has taken a shot at her ex Noah Syndergaard after he became an MLB free agent this month.

Syndergaard most recently pitched for the Cleveland Guardians after being traded from the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier in the season.

The eight-year-veteran has pitched for the New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels and Philadelphia Phillies. During his time in NY, when he was famously nicknamed ‘Thor’ due to his long flowing hair blonde hair, Syndergaard also earned an All-Star appearance in 2016.

Cooper, whom has become known for her role on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, was having a conversation with co-host and TikToker Alix Earle when they mentioned that teammates used to tease Syndergaard in the locker room about their relationship.

‘It can give us a little piece of mind, Alix, for everyone s***ing on us for our jobs, to know that people in the MLB locker rooms are forever going to be chanting our names until they f***ing retire, which I’m sure mine is on his way out,’ Cooper said.

‘He can’t get a f***ing contract. It’s not that I look [at the MLB news], people just send me this s***.

Although Cooper did not name the 31-year-old pitcher specifically, her and Syndergaard were seen kissing at a Knicks game back in 2017.

By December of that year Syndergaard indicated that the two had broken up in a post on X that read ‘Baseball is my significant other.’

Despite the powerhouse pitching that had him hailed as a star during the early years of his career in New York, Syndergaard has struggled with his ‘significant other’ ever since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2020.

His six starts during his time in Cleveland saw Syndergaard throw for a 5.40 ERA in 33 1/3 innings with the club.
