Dana White has insisted the biggest fight in UFC history is coming despite negotiations rumbling on, telling concerned doubters to ‘relax’.

Jon Jones v Tom Aspinall is in the pipeline for the promotion and the historic heavyweight title unification bout between the undisputed and interim champions could even take place this year, with White fronting lengthy talks.

Discussions over the showdown began after Jones retained his belt following his explosive third-round knockout of Stipe Miocic in November.

Aspinall, who defended his interim title against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 in July, agreed the bout would be the ‘biggest heavyweight fight ever’.

However, viewers have begun to rubbish claims that the fight will be held with no agreement reached, forcing White to attempt to play down their concerns.

Speaking on an Instagram Live, White addressed one comment declaring they were ‘not getting’ the blockbuster match-up, replying: ‘Yes you will. It’s coming. Relax.’

The update came just weeks after he suggested he will contemplate stripping Jones of his belt should negotiations continue to drag on until the summer.

Asked if he could take the drastic measure, White told The MacLife: ‘100 per cent. If we don’t get the fight done, we move on, and we make another fight.

‘But not last night, but the night before, I was up in my room with my people until like 6 in the morning. We’re working on lots of stuff right now.

‘There’s lots of really good s**t going on right now.’

Jones has demanded ‘f*** you’ money to take on Aspinall but White has admitted the onus is on the UFC to meet his demands to broker the ‘biggest fight’ in their history.

‘There’s no situation,’ said White. ‘It’s the biggest fight we can make.

‘I know the fans like to mess with Jon or whatever. Jon Jones isn’t afraid of anybody, and Jon Jones will fight anybody. It’s just a matter of getting the fight done now.

‘That’s our job.’
