Neal landed some early punches, with dos Anjos then suffering a knee injury, which brought the clash to an early end.
As a result, Neal was declared the winner of the fight in the United Arab Emirates by TKO.
Former UFC lightweight champion dos Anjos competes in the welterweight and lightweight divisions.
Dos Anjos made his UFC debut at UFC 91 in November 2008.
