Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals Match Prediction: Who Will Win The Match Between MI vs RR? IPL 2022, Match 09, MI vs RR. Five times champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match number 9 of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 in the DY Patil Stadium on 2nd April 2022.

Rohit Sharma spearheaded Mumbai Indians (MI) again bowed down to their jinxed first match of the season. MI continued its 9-years-old tradition of losing the first match as Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by four wickets.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals registered a thumping win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in its first match. Sanju Samson-led RR scored a massive 210 runs with the bat and their bowling was also commendable. RR bowlers restricted SRH to mere 149 runs total and stamped its authority in the game by 61 runs.

Mumbai Indians are favorites to win against the Rajasthan Royals as they would be strengthened by the return of Suryakumar Yadav from injury. Rajasthan Royals though will take confidence from their batting after putting up the highest score in IPL 2022 and then defending it in style, winning the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad comprehensively. They are at the top of the points table.

Although Mumbai Indians lost their opening fixture, their batsmen were in sublime touch, but it’s up to their bowlers to do well. Even Jasprit Bumrah gave away too many runs. Daniel Sams may be replaced by Fabian Allen, Riley Meredith, or Jaydev Unadkat as he was too costly against Delhi.
