
Giorgi Kvaratskhelia, the highly-rated Napoli wonderkid, has been the subject of much transfer speculation in recent weeks, with a number of top European clubs reportedly interested in signing the 19-year-old midfielder.
Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Vlado Lemic, has now revealed which club the Georgian international is keen to join, as the transfer race hots up.
Speaking to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Lemic said: “Giorgi is a very talented player and he has a lot of potential. He is very ambitious and he wants to play at the highest level.
“He has a lot of offers from clubs in Italy, England, Spain and Germany, but his dream is to play for a big club like Real Madrid or Barcelona. He is very keen to join one of these clubs and he is ready to make the move.”
Kvaratskhelia has been a regular in Napoli’s first team this season, making 16 appearances in all competitions. He has also been capped four times by Georgia at senior international level.
The 19-year-old is highly rated in Italy and has been compared to former Napoli star Marek Hamsik. He is known for his technical ability, passing range and eye for goal, and has been tipped to become one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Kvaratskhelia’s potential has not gone unnoticed by Europe’s top clubs, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich all reportedly interested in signing the youngster.
Napoli are keen to keep hold of Kvaratskhelia and have offered him a new contract, but the player is yet to commit his future to the club.
It remains to be seen which club Kvaratskhelia will join, but it is clear that he has the potential to become one of the best midfielders in Europe. With a number of top clubs interested in signing him, the transfer race is sure to be an interesting one.
