NEWCASTLE’S star buy Bruno Guimaraes reportedly ‘came to blows’ with Lyon team-mate Jerome Boateng just weeks ago.
Germany defender Boateng has been dropped for Saturday night’s clash with Nice after claims of bust-ups with at least three players.
And it’s alleged a training-ground flare-up with £43million midfielder Guimaraes became so heated that ‘several people’ had to break it up.
French newspaper L’Equipe say trouble sparked as Boateng, 33, was unhappy with comments from the 24-year-old Brazilian.
There’s been speculation the exchange helped persuade Guimaraes to move on.
But no evidence has been put forward to support that notion.
And Bayern Munich legend Boateng is also said to have had disturbing confrontation with two team-mates as Lyon slumped 4-1 at Rennes in Ligue 1 on November 7.
TV cameras caught Boateng shouting at skipper Leo Dubois during the game
And in the dressing room afterwards he is said to have clashed physically with Lyon’s exciting teenager Rayan Cherki.

Now Boateng has paid for his unhappy first half-season in the French top flight with the axe.
It’s reported his attempts to talk tactics with manager Peter Bosz after a 2-0 loss at Monaco on February 5 were ‘cut short’ by the former Ajax chief.
And France Under-20 centre-back Castello Lukeba has also grown into a key role, further undermining Boateng’s position.
