Chiefs fans want Travis Kelce to propose to Taylor Swift as payback to the Eagles following the team’s devastating Super Bowl loss.
The Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday evening, and were ultimately beat out 40-22.
Following the results, some of the team’s dedicated supporters joked on X, formerly Twitter, that they wanted Chiefs’ tight end Travis to ask his girlfriend Taylor to marry him on the field just to ‘overshadow’ the Eagles’ win.
‘I hope Travis proposes to Taylor just to piss every single Eagles fan off,’ one user wrote.
‘If I were Travis I would propose and make the Super Bowl about me,’ announced another.
‘OMG that would be so funny. All the headlines,’ someone else replied.
‘The way everyone would literally forget what an Eagle was,’ a fourth tweet read.
A fifth said, ‘Real. Like overshadow the loss.’

Travis, 35, was seen fighting back tears on his return to the Kansas City Chiefs locker room following one of the most humiliating nights of his career at the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
The devastated Chiefs tight end had misery etched across his face as Kansas City’s ‘three-peat’ dreams ended in disarray.
He spoke briefly to reporters in the locker room and then headed up to the suite where Taylor, 35, and his family watched the game.
‘Hats off to the Eagles, man. We couldn’t get it going offensively,’ he said. ‘We just couldn’t find that spark, couldn’t find that momentum.’
The athlete added that he believed at halftime that the Chiefs could turn the game around.

Reports on Saturday night said that Travis’ future may hinge on the result of the Super Bowl.
