Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy ripped Simone Biles for wearing a jacket which had images related to the Green Bay Packers during a Chicago Bears preseason game.
The custom-made jacket that Biles wore featured images of her husband, Jonathan Owens, who played in Green Bay last season.
On an episode of his ‘BFFs’ podcast, Portnoy criticized Biles for her sports and fashion faux pas.
‘This would infuriate me if I was a Bears fan… Bears-Packers are the Hatfields and McCoys of the NFL, Red Sox-Yankees,’ Portnoy explained to his co-host Bri Chickenfry.
‘So you go to a Bears game on their sideline wearing their archrival’s jacket, not the greatest.’

Portnoy said that Biles shouldn’t have worn a jacket with Green Bay Packers logos on it to a Bears game. She wore a custom jacket with her husband, ex Green Bay player, on it.
As she strolled the sidelines, Biles was also sporting a protective boot on her left foot from a calf injury she endured at the Olympics. She topped off the look with a pair of reflective silver shades, a black Prada bucket hat and a Balenciaga purse.
Despite her attempts to make a touching and supportive gesture towards Owens, Biles found herself wading into one of the league’s fiercest rivalries thanks to that jacket and fans were far from impressed.
‘Simone Biles should be stripped of all her medals after wearing Packers gear while cheering for the Bears,’ one social media user posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘Yeah yeah I get it, her husband played for the packers and it’s an Owens themed jacket, but this is just wrong.’
Others echoed the sentiment, questioning Biles’ seemingly oblivious football knowledge.
‘With all due respect, Simone Biles gotta throw that jacket in the trash ASAP,’ another claimed. ‘How did she get in with that?’

‘Release her hubby now!’ one particularly furious Bears fan chimed in, while another added, ‘It’s ridiculously unaware of your surroundings and insulting to her husband.’

But she brushed off any criticism and after the contest, she and a group of friends all went out for a lavish looking dinner at the restaurant Maple & Ash.
Awaiting Biles at the restaurant was a special menu that displayed the food available for purchase but included the words ‘OLYMPIC F*@KING CHAMPION!’
Biles and her assembled guests also raised their glasses for a toast by the candlelight.
Owens played one season in Green Bay last year before making the move down Lake Michigan to Chicago earlier this year.
