Another Super Bowl has been and gone, with the Philadelphia Eagles getting the better of Kansas City Chiefs with a 40-22 win to take the crown.
For the second time in seven years the Birds clinched a championship, with fans taking to the streets of Philadelphia to celebrate the win in the hours that followed it and the Eagles themselves dropped a hint as to when the trophy parade might be.
In a now-deleted post on X, the team’s account wrote: ‘See ya Friday’. It’s unconfirmed as to why the post was taken down.
Nonetheless, the Eagles got the job done on the back of a Chiefs collapse with the better side getting the result on the day.
But it wasn’t just football that was the focus of the event. Off the field, there was plenty to keep an eye on, with fans left stunned and intrigued alike by some of the antics surrounding the evening.

Popstar Taylor Swift was, as usual, in attendance to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce in what could have been the final game of a glittering NFL career with the Chiefs.
Swift and Kelce surprisingly went out for dinner on Friday night in New Orleans at a French restaurant with Patrick and Brittany Mahomes. While there was no suggestion they broke any team rules, fans were left surprised at seeing them out and about so close to the game.
Swift did not get a nice reception when cameras zoomed in on her before the carnage unfolded, shown on the big screen. The 35-year-old appeared to notice the booing from the fans in attendance, giving a mocking side-eye response as the noise mercilessly rang out around the packed stadium.

Trump made history by becoming the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl.
It was a contrast to the reception that Swift received, and Trump wasn’t going to let her forget that, later taking to his Truth Social platform.
The 78-year-old shared contrasting videos of the rapturous applause he received compared to the boos Swift was dealt when she was shown on the big screen.
He shared another user’s post with the caption: ‘Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.’
Hours later, Trump couldn’t resist a final dig at Swift as he posted: ‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’

Fans were full of praise for Brady for how sharp he looked ahead of the game in New Orleans, thanks to his flamboyant gold watch.
It wasn’t immediately clear what the timepiece was that Brady was wearing on Sunday. Some fans thought it was a $600,000 Caviar Tourbillon Jacob &Co watch but it later emerged that it was a special Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon, worth $740,000.

The flamboyant reddish suit Travis Kelce wore to the Super Bowl was designed for women to wear – but that didn’t stop him showing it off.
The 35-year-old Kelce is renowned for his gameday fits and everyone knew that he was going to be pulling out all the the stops for the Super Bowl.
Kelce made the decision to wear his 70s style suit on Saturday morning in New Orleans at a fitting, GQ has claimed.
But the designer told the publication that the NFL Star was one of the last people he had in mind for the piece when he first got it together.
Designer Mike Amiri confirmed the outfit was meant for women when it was shown at Paris Fashion Week last month but he knew it would still look the part for Kelce.

The Pulitzer Prize winner showcased his lyrical prowess as he started out the performance on top of a car before taking a swipe at his hip hop rival Drake, 38.

Though the half-time show didn’t go down well with a number of viewers, it did have one particularly special surprise for his fans and viewers around the world.
Lamar, a native of Compton, California, put the punctuation mark on his performance by inviting a fellow native of his hometown: Serena Williams.
Tennis great Williams showed up and started dancing while Lamar was performing his song ‘Not Like Us’ – she wasn’t seen up close, but a post on X from the icon after the game showed her in the exact same outfit as the performance. ‘Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!,’ she posted.

Half-time show is stormed by fan with flag
The half-time show was also interrupted by a protestor, who stormed the stadium with a Palestinian and Sudanese flag.
They were chased off the stage and eventually tackled by three security guards in suits, who dragged the man from the field.
Video of the incident shows the protester refused to get to his feet and was dragged away on his knees as Lamar continued his performance, unbothered by the scene below – TV cameras dodged the protestor.
The words ‘Gaza’ and ‘Sudan’ were printed onto the flag, which incorporated both the Sudanese and the Palestinian flag.

The Argentine was seen kicking an American football on a field, wearing Inter Miami’s latest kit in an advert for Apple and the MLS.
Messi, who has scored 34 goals in his 39 appearances since moving to the States – was seen striking a pose inside one of the adidas suites in the stadium.
Messi was joined by team-mates Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets – who he played with at Barcelona and now at Miami – as they enjoyed the game.
