The Eagles have landed wide receiver Jahan Dotson from the Commanders in a rare trade between division rivals.
Philadelphia also acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2025 draft from its NFC East foe on Thursday, in exchange for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks.
Dotson, who was taken in the first round in 2022, is one of several high draft picks from the previous regime who have been traded or sidelined under new general manager Adam Peters and coach Dan Quinn.
Washington’s first-round selections in 2023, cornerback Emmanuel Forbes, and 2021, linebacker Jamin Davis, have also been buried on the depth chart.
The former Penn State standout had 49 receptions for 518 yards and four touchdowns last season and is expected to be the Eagles’ No 3 receiver behind AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith.

The 5ft 11ins Dotson brings needed speed and explosiveness and fills a dire need as that third option.
The Eagles had tried a combination of receivers in camp that included Britain Covey, and Johnny Wilson but it was clear a more reliable option was needed.
The Commanders, meanwhile, could have a roster turnover of more than 50 per cent when the season opens.
Earlier on Thursday, the Atlanta Falcons and AJ Terrell reportedly agreed a four-year, $81million contract extension that includes an NFL-record $65.8m guaranteed.
The deal would see Terrell secure the biggest guarantee in history for a cornerback on a four-year-deal. He also becomes the second-highest paid cornerback of all time.
The 25-year-old was selected with the 16th overall pick of the 2020 draft after playing college football at Clemson.
