Indiana police have issued a Silver Alert for a former NFL playerâs missing son, who is believed to be in extreme danger amid allegations of abuse against the parents.
Byrson Muir, the 14-year-old son of retired Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Daniel Muir, was last seen leaving a family memberâs home in Ohio two weeks ago, according to Indiana State Police, who now say parents Daniel and Kristen have become uncooperative.
âEarlier today, Daniel and Kristen Muir had agreed to bring their 14-year-old son Bryson to meet with ISP investigators at the Peru Post,â Indiana State Police explained in a press release.Â
âThe agreement was to meet at 12:00 p.m. At approximately 11:00 a.m., the Muirs backed out of that arrangement which signaled an unwillingness to cooperate.â
Police cautioned that the investigation is still ongoing and urges anyone with information to call the Peru Post at 1-800-382-0689.

Described as a 6-foot-2, 185-pound black mail with black hair and brown eyes, Bryson was last seen with a bruise around his eye, as pictured in a photograph shared by police. The childâs grandmother recently reported that black eye to police and told officers her grandson could be the victim of abuse at the hands of his parents.
According to police, Bryson was seen leaving a family memberâs home in the Cleveland suburbs on June 16 in his mother Kirstenâs white 2015 Chevrolet Suburban. The car, which Kirsten was said to be driving, belongs to a Kokomo, Indiana organization known as the Servant Leaderâs Foundation.
However, when that vehicle was pulled over by police in Garfield Heights shortly after leaving the residence, Bryson was no longer in the vehicle.
