Davante Adams could be switching the East Coast for the West in free agency, according to a report.
The wide receiver made a shock move to the New York Jets to reunite with Aaron Rodgers during the 2024 season, but is now expected to follow his quarterback out of the Big Apple.
The Jets will ‘probably’ release the 32-year-old in order to free up ‘almost $30million’ in cap space as Aaron Glenn’s rebuild picks up pace, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
The wideout is said to be interested in a number of teams should he indeed leave New York with four teams believed to be in the race.
‘He will have options, and I’m told that he is intrigued by the West Coast,’ Fowler said during an appearance on SportsCenter.
‘You have teams like the Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, maybe San Francisco 49ers. He’s from the West Coast, so it’s a possibility he could end up there. Maybe the Packers want to run it back to him as well if they could involved there.’

The New York Jets are reportedly likely to release the wide receiver to free up cap space
The Chargers could look to add another receiver to compliment Ladd McConkey, while the Rams might target Adams to replace Cooper Kupp’s receiving threat amid his uncertain future in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the 49er missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020 this year but are expected to make a return to the postseason in the 2025 season amid an offseason rebuild.
Adams opened the season with the Las Vegas Raiders but was acquired by the Jets in an October 15 trade.
Adams became a star in Green Bay alongside Rodgers and reunited with his former quarterback following the trade.
Unfortunately for Adams, Rodgers and the Jets, the duo didn’t quite recapture their former glory from Green Bay, although the receiver did make 67 catches for 854 yards and seven touchdowns in just 11 games for the Jets.
Now, both players could be plying their craft elsewhere next season. Rodgers’ exit from New York was confirmed last week, after new head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey decided to move in a different direction.
Rodgers is said to want to keep playing and on Sunday reports claimed that the quarterback ‘aggressively’ urged the Jets to stick with him for at least another season.
According to the New York Post , Rodgers had several conversation with the team last week and repeatedly asked to stay amid fears his career could fizzle out.

It’s claimed that the Jets had already decided the quarterback’s fate by the time he had a first face-to-face meeting with Mougey and Glenn.
Rodgers spent two years with the Jets. His first season lasted just four snaps after he tore his Achilles.
Last year, meanwhile, the Jets struggled to 5-12 and extended their record playoff drought to 14 years.
The marriage was officially ended on Thursday, with the team announcing its intention to ‘move in a different direction.’
