Kelce Brothers Support Taylor Swift at VMA Awards

Travis Kelce and brother Jason are rooting for Taylor Swift to create even more history at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift leads the nominations at this year’s VMAs with 12; eight for her ‘Fortnight’ music video, two social categories and nods in the best pop and artist of the year categories.

And if she claims eight of those prizes, the pop megastar will surpass Beyoncé’s all-time record of 30 awards to become the most successful artist in VMA history.

It’s unclear whether Taylor will attend the show at the UBS Arena on New York’s Long Island, but if she does, winning would give her a prominent stage to back Kamala Harris’ Presidential bid once again after endorsing her on Tuesday night.

As she looks to add more honors to her collection this evening, boyfriend Kelce and his older brother Jason are backing Swift to do exactly that.

On their New Heights podcast, Travis said about the VMAs: ‘Hopefully Taylor can walk away with a few, she’s nominated for about 10 of those things tonight.

‘Hopefully she can walk away with some Moonmen [VMA trophies].’

After his brother wished everyone good luck at the ceremony on Long Island, Jason joked: ‘Unless you’re up against Tay, then I hope you lose.’

Swift is gearing up for the VMAs after enjoying a weekend in New York with Kelce and good friends Patrick and Brittany Mahomes.

Following the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, the songstress and her man jetted to NYC and were seen at iconic Brooklyn pizza joint Lucali on Friday.

They attended a wedding together the following day, before heading to the US Open tennis final on Sunday along with Patrick and Brittany.

However, Taylor and Travis were heavily criticized online after a video of the couple belting out iconic 2000s rock song ‘I Believe In a Thing Called Love’ by The Darkness in the stands went viral.

Brittany, who recently sparked controversy by liking one of Donald Trump’s Instagram posts, appeared to cringe next to them while asking Patrick: ‘Do you know this song?’

Swift’s endorsement of Democratic nominee Harris on Tuesday comes after BFF Mahomes showed her support for Republican leader Trump last month, which many suggested could damage their friendship.

More than 3.2million people liked Taylor’s Instagram post in a little over an hour after she confirmed: ‘I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election.’

She explained that the Vice President ‘fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.’

Swift added: ‘I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.

‘I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate (Walz), who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades. I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice.’
