The Detroit Lions announced that defensive star Aidan Hutchinson underwent successful surgery Sunday night.
Hutchinson, the NFL’s sack leader, suffered a horrific broken leg during the third quarter of the Lions’ blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The defensive end was rushed to hospital where he immediately underwent surgery and will remain until returning to Detroit later this week.
‘Aidan Hutchinson underwent successful surgery to repair a fractured tibia and fibula at Baylor White Medical Center in Irving, Texas last night,’ the franchise confirmed in a statement released Monday morning.
‘Hutchinson will return to Detroit this week and is expected to make a full recovery. There is no timeline for his return to play at this time.’
