Missouri Western State is approximately 60 miles north of Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play.

KMBC News said the northwest region of Missouri, where the Chiefs host training camp, has been dealing with a “record-breaking heatwave.”

The Chiefs, the reigning Super Bowl champions following their win over the Eagles in February, will kick off the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 7.

They’ll host the Lions, who finished second in the NFC North last season with a record of 9-8.
