Greg Olsen joked that Olivia Culpo got him ‘killed’ when she posted a candid snap of him partying at her wedding to Christian McCaffrey last month.
The NFL legend turned Fox Sports commentator looked a little worse for wear in a photo posted by the former Miss Universe from her big day in Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
Olsen’s shirt was untucked and unbuttoned, and his mop of curly locks appeared disheveled.
‘I talked to Christian [and] I said tell Olivia thanks so much for getting me killed on Twitter,’ he said during an appearance on the ‘SI Media’ podcast with Jimmy Traina this week.
‘He’s like, “Dude, we never thought in a million years that was going to happen; we just thought it was such a fun picture.” And I was like, “I’m kidding. That kind of stuff, I don’t care,”‘ he went on.

He denied being drunk when the snap was taken, despite appearing a little worse for wear
‘It was fun. We got a great laugh out of it.’
Olsen went on to refute claims he was more than 10 drinks deep when the photo was taken, noting he isn’t much of a drinker at all.
‘I didn’t have 12 drinks the entire night,’ the analyst said.
‘They caught me in a bad facial expression,’ he explained.
‘They caught me like mid-something. If I could have just settled into the picture and had a normal smile, it would have been maybe not as fun of a picture to talk about.’
The former tight end continued, ‘I think the internet is hysterical. You see the memes. People are funny and listen, if you’re going to take yourself too serious and you can’t just laugh and say “yeah I had a great time… at a really close friend’s wedding” that’s on you.’
McCaffrey and Culpo tied the knot at a dreamy oceanside chapel in Rhode Island
He also explained that his shirt was unbuttoned because he was letting loose on the dance floor.
‘I’m not a buttoned-up guy, that’s just not my thing,’ he said.
‘We got through the formal aspect of the night [and] my tie and button was off. I probably looked different than everybody else because i was probably sweatier than everybody else at the point. I love weddings.
‘I hadn’t seen a lot of those guys in a long time … You’re with your friends and guys that I played with, and some of my best friends in my life that live all over the country.’
The supermodel and the San Francisco 49ers star hosted their family and friends at an oceanfront property – aptly named Ocean House – in her home state on June 29.
A-list guests included comedian Shane Gillis and several NFL players, namely Kyle Juszczyk and his fashion designer wife Kristin.
The newlyweds started dating in 2019, and McCaffrey popped the question while on vacation in 2023.
