Carolina quarterback Andy Dalton was back at the Panthers facility on Wednesday, just a day after getting ‘banged up’ in a car accident.
Dalton’s wife, their three children, and the family dog were also caught up in in the crash, which was announced by the team on Tuesday.
The quarterback was checked out by Panthers doctors following the incident. But on Wednesday, he was spotted arriving for practice.
Dalton wore his No 14 jersey but he did not train alongside his teammates ahead of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
‘Thank you to everyone for checking in on our family and for your prayers! We’re a little banged up but we are BEYOND thankful for the Lord’s protection over our family yesterday!’ Dalton’s wife Jordan wrote on social media.

‘Thank you to everyone who responded so quickly to the accident… first responders, friends and strangers… our hearts could not be grateful for how you showed up for our family, specifically our kids.’
Dalton married his wife Jordan in 2011 and the couple have two sons, Nash and Noah, as well as a daughter, Finley.
The quarterback took over as the Panthers’ starter in Week 3, replacing Bryce Young, and has not relinquished the job despite the team’s 1-6 record.
Dalton, who turns 37 next week, joined Carolina last season. He began his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals before spells with the Cowboys, Bears and Saints.
The Panthers have lost six games this season by 10 points or more, including Sunday’s defeat 40-7 defeat by the Washington Commanders.
Carolina’s lone win this season came in Dalton’s first game as starter against the Las Vegas Raiders.
