Patrick Mahomes and Pat McAfee were few of the many to celebrate Travis Kelce’s new contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs.
On Monday, Ian Rapoport reported that the three-time Super Bowl winner agreed to a two-year extension, making him the NFL’s highest-paid tight end.’
Following the news, Kelce’s quarterback took to social media to celebrate his new deal.
‘I told yall I’ll never let him leave!!’ Mahomes wrote on his repost. ‘Congrats my guy! @tkelce.’
Meanwhile, on the Pat McAfee Show, the crew also celebrated Kelce’s hard-earned extension during their program.
‘Travis Kelce, who had taken pay cuts in the past to potentially open more space up in the salary cap, has obviously produced [results],’ McAfee said. [He] is now a multiple-time Super Bowl champion, a world icon, a podcast host, and now the highest-paid tight end in history, congratulations!’
