The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Daniel Jones, with the quarterback searching for a new team.
The 27-year-old Jones left the Giants midway through last season after a second straight campaign of disaster.
Jones asked to be released and joined the Minnesota Vikings for the remainder of the season, although ultimately didn’t play for the team as they made the first round of the postseason.
Now, it has been claimed that Jones could have an opening at the Steelers, according to Pittsburgh sports radio host Andrew Fillipponi.
He posted on X: ‘Source: Thereโs interest in former Giants QB Daniel Jones inside the Steelers organization.ย
‘Quote: โ[The Steelers] could do a lot worse than Jones.โ With the belief he actually is a good fit for Arthur Smithโs offense. And Mike Tomlinโs preference for a mobile quarterback.’
