Thursday officially marks the start of the NFL season and to celebrate that, NBC’s Sunday Night Football put together a cartoon.
While there is one person for each team in the league represented in the cartoon, there’s also one famous inclusion at the center of the photo – Taylor Swift.
The ‘Welcome to New York’ singer is at the center of the photograph, right below the Lombardi Trophy, wearing a Travis Kelce jersey with a microphone in one hand and a guitar in the other.
Fans of the sport weren’t exactly pleased with the decision to put the pop star front and center, especially considering how inundated fans were with images of her last season at various Kansas City Chiefs games.
‘Why is she in there? This is getting ridiculous!,’ wrote one user on Twitter.

‘@taylorswift13 in his jersey but not actually @tkelce?? @PatrickMahomes with the goat is a nice touch,’ wrote a Kansas City sports fan.
Another wrote: ‘Gone WAY TOO FAR including Taylor Swift in the pic! Where are the Wives/Girlfriends of all the others Players? They’re just as important!’
Swift was not the only famous wife or girlfriend of an NFL player to be included in the cartoon, however.
In the top right of the cartoon, standing on top of a building next to Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, is Simone Biles.
The wife of Bears safety Jonathan Owens is seen stretching out while wearing her three gold medals and one silver medal she won at the Paris Olympics over the summer.
NBC will be broadcasting the opening game of the season between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens tonight in Kansas City.
