Radio host questions Kylie Kelce surpassing Joe Rogan as Spotify's top podcast: 'Ridiculous'

Kylie Kelce’s new ‘Not Gonna Lie’ podcast has knocked The Joe Rogan Experience off top spot in the Spotify charts – but radio host Gregg Giannotti is having none of it.

Kylie, the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, launched her podcast last week with a debut episode which has been watched by over 600,000 people on YouTube at the time of writing.

The ex-NFL WAG is cashing in on her family’s increased fame amid Taylor Swift’s romance with Jason’s brother Travis, which has caused their popularity to soar over the past year.

And incredibly, a few days on from her ‘Not Gonna Lie’ debut, Spotify announced that Kylie has already surpassed Joe Rogan as the music company’s No. 1 podcast.

That is despite Rogan having one of the most influential podcasts in the world right now, with his interview with Donald Trump before he cruised to victory in last month’s presidential election bringing in 52 million viewers on YouTube.

As a result, Giannotti – who hosts the ‘Boomer and Gio’ show on New York radio station WFAN and CBS Sports – refuses to believe that Kelce has a more popular podcast than Rogan after just one episode.

‘I honestly wasn’t even gonna bring it up ’cause I thought it was so ridiculous that Spotify would actually say that. I mean, there’s just no way,’ he said to former NFL quarterback and co-host Boomer Esiason about Spotify ranking Kelce above Rogan.

‘If you look at any of the Joe Rogan YouTube numbers and compare that to whatever the Kelces are doing, come on… Kylie Kelce has a more listened to podcast than Joe Rogan?

‘Joe Rogan essentially influenced the election in some way. I didn’t even know [Kylie] had a podcast.’

Esiason added: ‘You could actually say that the Joe Rogan [and] RFK, Elon Musk and Donald Trump interviews are the things that changed the election in the minds of many independent voters.’

Rogan’s interviews with Robert Kennedy Jr. (1.6 million) and Musk (18 million) also generated close to 20 million views on YouTube.

Kylie has thrown herself into the podcast business following the success of husband Jason’s ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother Travis.

‘I decided to start this because, quite frankly, I was sick of hearing all the speculation and tabloid articles, all the nonsense and noise and I figured why not just come out and have a conversation with you guys myself?’ she said when explaining why she wanted to start a show of her own.

‘Because at the end of the day, I’m not going to lie. We’ll talk about topics like parenting, entertainment, and sports, and I have absolutely no business talking to the guests we’re going to have on.’
