Russell Wilson’s free agency future became a bit clearer on Wednesday, as it was reported that the veteran quarterback will be visiting the Browns on Thursday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilson is scheduled to fly to Cleveland on Wednesday night ahead of a visit the following day, while he will then visit the Giants on Friday.
Wilson, 36, played last season with the the Steelers, though it has been widely reported that the franchise is now focusing on bringing Aaron Rodgers in.
Rodgers, 41, is also reportedly an option for the Giants, while Minnesota may also look to add a veteran quarterback to their passers’ room, which includes 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy.
The Athletics’s Diana Russini reported on Wednesday that Vikings decision-makers still considered Rodgers to be an option, and that the quarterback was ‘intrigued’ by the idea of playing there.
The Browns own the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL Draft next month, which they could use to draft Miami’s Cam Ward, who has emerged as the consensus top quarterback on the board ahead of Shedeur Sanders.

Aaron Rodgers is also looking for a new home, which could be a factor in where Wilson ends up
However, that scenario would require the Titans (who will pick first) passing on Ward, or Cleveland moving up to No. 1 to ensure they get the former Hurricanes star if they want him. The Giants have also been linked with a trade up to the top spot.
Ultimately, Rodgers’ and Wilson’s futures look to be tied, with the Giants said to be pursuing them both.
The pair are among the last quarterback dominoes to fall after several passers around the league changed franchises this week.
