Tom Brady is locked and loaded for his first Thanksgiving as a Fox NFL announcer, he revealed Wednesday.
The NFL legend, who is in the first season of his ten-year, $375million deal with the network, was hilariously caught out by a ‘discovery’ during Sunday’s coverage of the league.
After calling the 49ers game on Fox in the afternoon, the bomb was dropped on the former quarterback live on air that he would be required to work for the New York Giants’ Thanksgiving showdown against the Dallas Cowboys Thursday.
Despite Brady’s initial faux shock, the seven-time Super Bowl winner took to social media to reveal his true feelings toward working the holiday.
‘I’m fired up for some football!!! See you tomorrow!’ he wrote, quote-tweeting the clip of his reaction shared by Fox Sports’ NFL account.
The hilarious moment came during Fox’s ‘The OT’ postgame show Sunday when host Curt Menefee broke the news to him.
Tom Brady has revealed how he really feels about working for Fox on Thanksgiving

The Fox color commentator tweeted that he was fired up for the NFL’s Thanksgiving slate
‘Hey Tom, [Michael] Strahan’s first year, he learned that he actually had to work on Thanksgiving Day,’ Menefee began.
‘He thought he had it off. Did they tell you that before you came? You have to work on Thanksgiving Day this year!’
Brady then pretended to make a shocked face before saying, ‘What?’
He then laughed off the joke from Menefee before Strahan jokingly suggested they skip work and have Thanksgiving together.
While Brady will be hustling this Thanksgiving, two of his children will be celebrating the holiday with his pregnant ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and her partner Joaquim Valente.
He has two children, son Benjamin and daughter Vivian, with his Brazilian supermodel ex-wife Bundchen and they will be with their mother in Costa Rica for the holidays, according to Page Six.
‘Gisele took the kids and headed to Costa Rica with Joaquim [Valente] to spend the holiday with each other,’ the publication quoted a source as saying.
‘Tom is supportive and that’s the arrangement he and Gisele have agreed upon. He’s going to be calling the game for Fox that day and will be tied up with work.

‘He will still have plenty of time to spend with his children during the holiday season.’
It emerged that Bundchen, 44, was expecting a baby with Valente, 37, in late October.
Brady was said to be stunned by the news and while he has not publicly commented on it, he posted a cryptic Instagram message around the time that the news came out.
‘Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?’ Brady wrote alongside a photo of the setting sun. The words are lyrics from the Fleetwood Mac song ‘Landslide’. The 1975 hit was later covered by The Chicks.
Brady added audio over the story, with users hearing: ‘Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?’
Professionally, Brady has not had the easiest time with Fox this season since making his hotly anticipated debit in the broadcast booth.
He was criticized by fans on Week One for his tone and style before then shockingly saying that Josh Allen had ‘played like a spaz’ in the early days of his career.
