A smitten Travis Kelce admits he is proud to call Taylor Swift his ‘lady’ as the Kansas City Chiefs star lifts the lid on their whirlwind romance.
Kelce and Swift have been dating for the best part of a year, with the pop sensation’s first appearance at Arrowhead for one of his NFL games last September publicly confirming the relationship.
Since then the world’s most high-profile celebrity couple have gone from strength to strength; enjoying a host of trips away and nights out together, meeting the families and supporting each other in their respective fields.
Just last weekend Kelce was in London for Swift’s sold-out Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium, even joining his girlfriend up on stage in Sunday’s show.
And during an appearance on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, the Chiefs tight end revealed what it’s like dating the most famous singer on the planet.

Kelce has revealed what it’s like to be dating the world’s most famous pop star this week
‘You want to keep things private, but at the same time, like, I’m not here to hide anything. That’s my girl, you know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s like… I’m proud of that,’ Kelce said.
‘I’m not sitting here trying to juggle like, “how can I keep this under wraps?” You just don’t want to let everyone into your personal life and be able to comment on it, knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.’
Given they are both all-time greats in their own industries, Kelce and Swift have dominated headlines ever since romance first blossomed last year, with the loved-up pair drawing attention from all across the globe.
Even for Travis, widely considered the best tight end in NFL history, the increased spotlight that dating Taylor has brought came as a major shock.
However, Kelce says his girlfriend’s ability to stay grounded despite her superstar status is what made him fall for her.
‘She’s very self-aware, but at the same time… she’s very self-aware. She understands situations like that and I think that’s why I really started to fall for her, how genuine she is just around friends and family,’ he revealed.

‘It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure.’
On the most surprising part about dating Swift, Kelce continued: ‘[Paparazzi] has been the craziest thing. Definitely the pulling up to the house, the just random, I don’t know…
‘It’s a different demographic than the NFL, so it’s been cool to dabble in that and see her following and everything. It’s been fun because a lot more kids are into the game and the Chiefs fans have turned into a lot of her fans. And her fans have turned into Chiefs fans, so I’ve had fun with every aspect of it.
‘But when you’re at home, you want privacy, and you don’t always get that.’
