Tyreek Hill has made a shocking U-turn and has revealed that he wants to stay a Miami Dolphin several weeks after a post-game rant where he stated he wanted to play elsewhere.ย
It was in the locker room after the Dolphins’ January 5 loss to the Jets that Tyreek Hill’s frustration of not making the playoffs for the first time in his career led to the admission of wanting to play for another team.ย
Two days before his former team, the Kansasย City Chiefs, tries to complete a three-peat without him, Hill sees a route to bring a Lombardi Trophy to Miami and has declared that he wants to remain with the franchise.
Hill was asked directly by NFL host Kay Adams if he wants to be a Miami Dolphin on Friday.ย ย
‘I do, I don’t want to go nowhere,’ Hill said. ‘I love it, my family loves it. Kids absolutely love being on the beach every morning. It’s an amazing thing.’
‘We are really building something special in Miami. We made it to the playoffs the first two years. Obviously, this year was hard. But if guys continue to buy into what coach [Mike McDaniel] is building and the culture that he is trying to build, it’s going to be a beautiful thing.’

Hill also spoke that he was not the only one frustrated on the Dolphins with how their season went.ย The wide receiver also seems to know he was the only one to not keep those issues close to his chest.ย
The speedster also showed specific remorse to Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for wanting ‘out’ of the team.ย
‘This is my public apology,’ Hill said. ‘On God, yeah. They already know that though. They know I’m not that kind of player though. A lot of people may say, “Oh, Reek is a hot head. He’s this, he’s that.” But all my teammates know.’
‘I come to work every day, I bust my tail, I show up to meetings on time, and I do what I got to do.’
In the days following Hill’s original comment, McDaniel and Dolphins general manager Chris Grier talked about the productive post-season meeting they had with him.ย ย
‘Mike and I both had conversations with Tyreek here… yesterday, productive conversations, I will keep those between us,’ Grier said last month. ‘The one thing I would say is in a frustrating season he was emotional in a game where we had a chance, coming back from 2-6… and weโre playing week 18 to sneak into the playoffs.’ย
‘And I think all of that with him playing through his injuries just kind of bubble to a point and from our conversations, again weโll keep that private, but we had productive conversationsโฆ I would say that he never asked me for a trade.’
