Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has told his fellow Gunners supporters to ‘stop the squealing’ after they were beaten by PSG in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
Ousmane Dembele’s fourth-minute strike was enough to give the French side a 1-0 win at the Emirates on Tuesday night, leaving Arsenal with an uphill battle to reach the final in Munich.
The defeat sent some fans into meltdown after their side were outclassed by the French giants, with Arsenal Fan TV’s Lee Judges providing the harshest criticism.
Wayne Rooney took aim at Arsenal supporters inside the Emirates, calling them ‘subdued’ and warning Mikel Arteta’s men were gripped by ‘fear’.
Fans had also blasted referee Slavko Vincic for his performance during the first leg. The Slovenian booked Leandro Trossard early on, which set the tone for an erratic display of officiating – including the decision to give Bukayo Saka a controversial yellow card.
And Morgan, who attended the match with his sons, has sent a message to fans ahead of next Wednesday’s second leg in Paris.

Lee Judges ripped into Arsenal after their 1-0 loss to PSG, claiming there was ‘no f****** balance’ in the midfield
‘We can say it is because the fans didn’t sing loud enough, we can say it is because the referee was unfair… but they had as many unfair calls as we did, and they probably should have had a penalty,’ Morgan said on talkSPORT.
‘Let’s stop the squealing, Gooners, and let’s just remember here that we’re in a battle to get to the Champions League final.
‘No-one should pretend this was ever going to be easy. This lot are a proper football team and we need to take our a-game to Paris and we need to demolish them in their own Parisian back yard.
‘I will be there as part of the demolition process and will do whatever I can to dismantle them.’
In an expletive-laden rant after the defeat, Judges lashed out at Mikel Arteta‘s tactics. ‘How many more times have I got to f****** tell you? (Myles Lewis-)Skelly in midfield, Declan Rice stays the same,’ he began.
‘Play him f****** holding midfielder, Declan Rice doing what he’s doing, that’s his position in the league and all that.
‘When have I seen him play there? He’s played every f****** week in the youth team. Have you seen him play f****** left-back? When have you seen him play left-back until he’s f****** done it this season? Don’t make excuses! Do not make excuses. F****** right I am.
‘He said sometimes you have to turn round and find something within. He found f*** all within today, Rob, that’s it. Up front we lost (Mikel) Merino, where was Merino today? He had no energy in there. He worked hard but no energy. Thomas Partey, getting him booked, it’s a scandal.

Manchester United fan and Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg infiltrated the Emirates and shared photos of her cringing in the stands
‘I don’t mind going with that team to start off with, but f****** change it when it ain’t working.
‘We ain’t put no f****** balance in the midfield all f****** game. Lost a bit? We got overrun.’
Meanwhile, Amelia Dimoldenberg – host of YouTube series Chicken Shop Date – shared photos of her cringing and looked close to tears – despite previously claiming to be a Manchester United fan.
After a grand build-up, Arsenal were unable to replicate the performance or atmosphere that carried them to a 3-0 thrashing of Real Madrid in London in the quarter-finals.
It did not help that Dembele scored within four minutes to administer a sense of dread to an already depleted side, with Arsenal also missing star defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
Rooney insisted he was ‘disappointed’ by the atmosphere, telling Amazon Prime: ‘They [PSG] were by far the better team. Tactically they were excellent – they knew when to press and go into a lower block. They could have won by two or three.
‘I was a bit disappointed with how they played and the fans as well. Against Madrid they were excellent but today they were subdued and it was an anticlimax. The fans had to be there tonight. On both sides, it wasn’t good enough from Arsenal.’
Rooney continued by saying: ‘The players need help. I thought the fans here against Madrid was the best I’d heard it. They gave a massive amount of energy but tonight they didn’t give them that same energy – it can be the difference.
‘The fans have been a lot – and I am not blaming them – but if they brought the same energy from Madrid, it could have given them a lift.’
Shearer, meanwhile, was hugely critical of the referee. ‘I think the referee has made a very good game very difficult for himself with the way he is talking to the players and his attitude,’ he said.
‘He is making this a tough game to referee. Really frustrating for players, it really is. He made it very tough for himself when he booked Trossard.’
