Thousands of Paris Saint-Germain fans dramatically stormed the pitch after they thrashed Inter Milan 5-0 to win their first ever Champions League.

Hordes of fans managed to run through rows of German riot police and security staff to make their way onto the Allianz Arena turf to celebrate their European victory. 

Supporters ripped up grass and tore down the goal as pandemonic scenes ensued after the full-time whistle.

PSG players were were forced to run off the pitch and the trophy was rushed into the dressing room, bringing a temporary halt to celebrations. 

A spectacular display in Munich had seen the young side PSG hammer Inter and become just the second ever French side to win the competition, after Marseille in 1993.

While Luis Enrique became the second manager in history to win a treble with two different teams.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring at the Allianz Arena before a Desire Doue brace, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and 19-year-old Senny Mayulu firing in second-half goals as PSG recorded the biggest ever win in a Champions League final. 

Opposing fans had clashed before the final with shocking footage showing supporters fighting tooth and nail on public transport in Munich, with bottles being thrown and legs kicking out.

According to L’Equipe, at least one PSG supporter was injured after being ambushed in the Universitat subway station – with Inter hooligans being described as carrying bladed weapons.

‘Physical clashes took place in the Universitst subway station, during which pepper spray was used. The investigation into the circumstances is ongoing,’ Munich police wrote on X.

Meanwhile, chaos broke out on the streets of Paris with football ultras causing carnage and clashing with police.

Thousands of supporters flocked to hotspots around the French capital to toast the win but grim footage shared on social media shows riot officers deploying tear gas and charging at thugs with their batons in skirmishes, while several fires also broke out.

One damning video showed several football fans running away from a burning car while flames sent thick smoke billowing into the night sky.

According to local media, at least 81 individuals have been arrested.

Confrontations took place outside the Parc des Princes, where the one-sided final was being beamed on large screens, and on the Champs-Elysees. Police clad in full riot gear swooped on supporters who had thrown bottles and let off fireworks.

The party on the iconic Champs-Elysees took a dark turn, forcing officers equipped with batons and shields to scramble in a bid to disperse the crowds.

The ugly scenes during the historic match led Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau to claim that ‘barbarians have taken to the streets of Paris’.
