PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are expected to begrudgingly mark their 10th Ligue 1 triumph with a commemorative star on next season’s kits.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side can wrap up the title on Saturday with a win at home against Lens.
That would be a 10th Ligue 1 crown in their history, and EIGHTH in the last decade.
However, against usual practice, PSG were not expected to mark a 10th title by including a star above their badge on next season’s kit.
French newspaper Le Parisien had claimed PSG rejected the chance to include a star on their shirt design for next season as production had already began, minus the star.
Now though their stance has appeared to have reluctantly changed.
L’Equipe suggest the club are willing to redesign their kit to one that does indeed show off a commemorative star.
But it won’t be above their badge.
It’s claimed, via Get French Football News, that Lionel Messi and Co will indeed don a shiny star, although it will be on the sleeve of their kits next to the Ligue 1 logo, instead of above their crest.
That goes against the convention set by fellow French giants Marseille and Saint-Etienne.

Marseille show off a star above their club crest due to their 1993 Champions League triumph, while Saint-Etienne also have a star above their badge to mark their 10 Ligue 1 titles.
PSG have already confirmed that one of their sleeves will brandish the word “GOAT” – but not because of superstar forward Messi.
The club have agreed a multi-million sponsorship deal with online marketplace GOAT.
