Real Madrid Eye Mikel Arteta Amid La Liga Struggles

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a shock move for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as pressure mounts on current manager Carlo Ancelotti amid the club’s La Liga woes.

The Spanish giants have endured a difficult start to the season, with Ancelotti’s side currently sitting fourth in the table, seven points behind leaders Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid have been linked with a number of high-profile managers in recent weeks, including former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

However, it appears that the club are now turning their attention to Arteta, who has impressed since taking over at Arsenal in December 2019.

The Spaniard has guided the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table this season, and his side are currently on a 14-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Arteta has also been credited with transforming Arsenal’s style of play, with the team playing a more possession-based game and pressing higher up the pitch.

The former Arsenal midfielder has also been praised for his man-management skills, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe all flourishing under his guidance.

Real Madrid are believed to be keen to bring in a manager who can bring a fresh approach to the club, and Arteta appears to fit the bill.

The Spaniard is also thought to be open to the idea of a move to the Bernabeu, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a deal.

If Real Madrid do manage to secure Arteta’s services, it would be a major coup for the club and could potentially signal a new era of success for the Spanish giants.
