Real Madrid Eyeing Haaland, Mbappe for £177m Transfer

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to turn to Erling Haaland if their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe fails to materialise.

The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain forward for some time, but it appears they are now ready to look elsewhere if the French international does not push for a transfer.

According to reports, Real Madrid are now ready to trigger the £177million release clause in Manchester City striker Haaland’s contract.

The 20-year-old has been in sensational form this season, scoring an incredible 33 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Haaland has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium for some time, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea all reportedly interested in signing the Norwegian.

Real Madrid are believed to be keen to add a new striker to their squad this summer, with Karim Benzema now 33 years old and Luka Jovic struggling for form.

Haaland would certainly fit the bill, and it appears the Spanish giants are now ready to make their move for the prolific forward.

The Norwegian international is one of the most sought-after players in world football, and it would be a major coup for Real Madrid if they were able to sign him.

However, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City will be willing to let him go, or if they will be able to convince him to stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Real Madrid are also reportedly still interested in signing Mbappe, but it appears they are now ready to turn to Haaland if the French international does not push for a transfer.

It promises to be an interesting summer for Real Madrid, and it will be fascinating to see who they end up signing.
