Real Madrid might be on the verge of signing Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, but the Bernabeu side are already plotting another raid on the Premier League champions.
Alexander-Arnold has confirmed his intention to depart the Reds at the end of the season, with Los Blancos in talks with the Anfield outfit over a move that would see the England international hook up with the squad prior to the FIFA Club World Cup.
It also appears that Xabi Alonsoās next club are willing to open negotiations over a second Liverpool star at this time as they plan a way to rejuvenate the performances of Jude Bellingham.
Alexis Mac Allister is seen as Real Madridās perfect central midfield addition, according to Marca.
The Bernabeu want a strong box-to-box presence in their ranks to allow Bellingham to get forward more, just as he did last season. Such a player would also give the England international star the breathing space to have an operation on a troublesome shoulder problem.
And Mac Allister is the favoured option among many at Valdebebas.

Marca states that the Argentine is regarded by Real Madrid as āa dynamic footballer with the ability to make others better with his dual ability to attack and defendā.
The report stresses that Liverpool are expected to be a āproblemā when recruiting the player, hinting that their successful raid to sign Alexander-Arnold as a free agent has soured relations between the two clubs for this summer at least.
Mac Allister to Real Madrid: Rating the rumour
Liverpool are seeking to shore up their midfield options rather than depleting them, which has led Arne Slotās side to make a move for Athletic Club youngster Mikel Jauregizar.
As such, it would be a major surprise if they were to allow Mac Allister, who is under contract until 2028, to depart.
And even if Liverpool were to sell, the 26-year-old would not come cheap. He has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of ā¬106m.
