Carlo Ancelotti’s exit from Real Madrid will not be the only high-profile departure from the Bernabeu this summer, with Los Blancos opting to put a star worth more than €100 million up for sale.
It’s been a disappointing campaign in the Spanish capital, with Ancelotti set to pay the price for a trophyless season. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the Italian’s departure in the summer.
Xabi Alonso is set to take charge in Madrid next term, and it appears that he will lead a squad that is bolstered by the massive sale of Rodrygo.
AS reports that Rodrygo’s form has deteriorated such that Real Madrid are seriously considering selling him this summer.
The Brazil international has just one goal in his last 21 outings and appears to be struggling to find room in a team that contains the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in attack, as well as Jude Bellingham supporting from the midfield.
Although he is under contract until 2028, Los Blancos want to sell this summer while his valuation is still high and also because of the recent emergence of Arda Guler.
Endrick is untouchable
While Rodrygo is pushed out of the Bernabeu, another young Brazil star in the form of Endrick has been made “untouchable”.
With seven goals and one assist this season, he has a had a direct impact in a goal every 88 minutes he’s been on the field, yet has only started six games.
This lack of playing time this season has seen the 18-year-old linked with a potential move away just a year after arriving at the club, but Relevo claims this will not be the case.
“He’s the striker of the future,” an unnamed source has told the Spanish media.
Endrick will not even be loaned out in the summer, with Los Merengues of the opinion that it could even be “risky” to send him out on loan in the summer.
Real Madrid are, therefore, willing to bide their time with a player they invested an initial €35m in, confident that he can be a star for Xabi Alonso in the future.
