Wrexham are returning to Las Vegas for their third promotion party in a row after booking their spot in next season’s Championship cohort last week.
The Welsh side pulled off the previously unthinkable with their third consecutive promotion as they finished second on 92 points behind League One’s runaway leaders Birmingham City on 111.
The latest installment of the Hollywood fairytale was watched at the Racecourse Ground by co-owner Ryan Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, with both of the A-List stars leaping to their feet as they celebrated moving from outside the Football League to the second division in just four seasons.
But with the mammoth achievement has come great reward – often with Reynolds and his co-owner Rob McElhenney footing the bill.
The club’s first promotion in 2023 back into League Two saw the players flown out to Las Vegas, with a similar party booked for the end of last season as the club celebrated their second-consecutive ascendance.
And 2025’s festivities appear to be of a similar hue, with a number of players sharing pictures from their flight to Sin City on Thursday morning.

On the players’ plane were customised headrests featuring their faces and the words: ‘We’re going up!’

The Hollywood-backed Welsh club claimed second place in League One and promotion to the Championship at the first time of asking
Sam Smith, Ollie Palmer, Ryan Barnett, and James McClean were among those to share pictures of the squad boarding the customised private jet to fly them to the party capital.
The plane featured special commemorative headrests for the players emblazoned with a picture of the squad, and the words ‘we’re going up!’ inked over the design.
McClean shared a photo of himself with Smith, Andy Cannon, George Evans, and Paul Mullin, with the cheeky caption: ‘Vegas again, ole ole ole (shrugging emoji).
‘(Be s***e to be in the play offs right now)’.
If this season’s trip is to be anything like the two previous, the players will certainly be in for a lavish experience.
2023 saw the players begin the party with a night of festivities at Vegas hot spot Hakkasan, before starting the next day of revelry with a poolside bash at the Wet Republic Ultra Pool at the MGM Grand
Then came dinner at famed Las Vegas eatery Spago alongside McElhenney and his wife – and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ co-star – Kaitlin Olson.
There, they were met by an ice sculpture in the shape of Wrexham’s club badge, as well as an all-expenses paid dinner including a seasonal seafood tower, which features poached Gulf shrimp, Maine lobster, green-lipped mussels, East & West coast oysters, seasonal poké, and king crab legs.

A Wrexham badge ice sculpture greeted the players at the restaurant and a number of new tributes will likely be made this weekend
After dinner, the players moved onto OMNIA nightclub where they were greeted in bombastic style, the packed house in the cavernous nightclub jumped up and down waving sparklers and enormous Welsh flags were waved in a tribute to the team’s achievements.
The final leg of the party took them to poolside again, this time at TAO Beach Dayclub.
Cabanas and daybeds at the opulent Asian-inspired beach club can range from $1,500 to $6,000, and bottles of champagne range from $375 for Tattinger Brut to a staggering $1600 for a bottle of Jay-Z-owned Armand de Brignac ‘Ace of Spades’.
The following year saw the players outdo themselves, with Reynolds joking in an Instagram story which pictured his stars once against at TAO Beach Dayclub: ‘Next year, they’re going on a five day meditation retreat in the Faroe Islands’.

But Reynolds appears to have been unable to stay true to his word – understandably, perhaps, in light of comments the Deadpool star made this week about the feeling of watching his club.
‘Well, I have not required an adult diaper yet. I think I’ve watched Sam Smith’s martial arts/judo kick maybe 50, 60, 70 times,’ Reynolds told the Daily Star of his player’s goal against Charlton.
‘It’s my version of a gigantic pile of cocaine. I’m just sitting there, watching that over and over and over again and enjoying every second of it. It is remarkable.
‘I’m glad it happened when we are at the age I’m at. Because I don’t think this is something I would have been able to handle any younger. I wouldn’t change anything about my time here. I don’t know how you get bored with something like this.’
