Roy Keane and Gary Neville have been made to eat their words after mocking Graeme Souness’ prediction of a Liverpool victory over Manchester United in the Premier League.

Keane and Neville had both predicted a United win, with Keane saying: “I think United will win. I think they’ll be too strong for Liverpool.”
Neville had added: “I think United will win 2-1.”
But after the match, Neville was quick to admit he had been wrong.
“I was wrong,” he said. “I thought United would win. I thought they’d be too strong for Liverpool.”
Keane, meanwhile, was more defiant, saying: “I still think United will win. I think they’ll be too strong for Liverpool.”
But he was forced to eat his words after the match, saying: “I was wrong. I thought United would win. I was wrong.”
The result was a blow for United, who had been hoping to close the gap on Liverpool at the top of the table.
But it was a welcome point for Liverpool, who remain unbeaten in the Premier League this season.
The result also proved that Souness was right to back the Reds, despite the mocking from Keane and Neville.
