Sean Dyche 'lined up for return to management with relegated Premier League club' just four months after Everton sack

Sean Dyche is reportedly in the frame for the Leicester City job following their relegation.  

The Foxes are actively considering replacements for Ruud van Nistelrooy as they seek to finalise a decision on who will lead their bid to win an instant return to the Premier League.

The Dutchman has overseen a disastrous run of results since replacing Steve Cooper last autumn, meaning the Foxes will play in the Championship next season.

Though they have yet to make a final decision on Van Nistelrooy’s future, Mail Sport understands targets have already been sounded out by intermediaries. 

According to The Sun, Leicester believe Dyche is the man to lead the club back to the top flight immediately. 

The 53-year-old has been out of working since being sacked as Everton manager in January following a poor run iof results.

It is said that Dyche was ready to take the Leicester job earlier this season but was ignored. 

Dyche has an astounding record in the Championship having guided Burnley to promotion on two occasions. 

Meanwhile, current Foxes boss Van Nistelrooy is hopeful of resolving his future at the club soon. 

The Dutchman said: ‘(I am) still hoping to find out. The quicker the better, in the best interest of the club. We’re all hoping to find out soon.

‘There’s 70 people working at the training ground who want to evaluate the season (and start) looking forward to the next.’
