A source told The Sun: ‘Shakira is planning to move to Miami with her two sons. She’s been looking at properties and is just weeks away from making the move.
‘She’s been in Barcelona for the past few months but is now ready to start a new chapter in her life.
‘She’s been through a lot in the past few months and is looking forward to a fresh start in Miami.’
The source added that Shakira is ‘excited’ to be moving to the US, and that she is ‘looking forward to the change of scenery’.
Shakira and Pique, who have been together since 2011, announced their split in a joint statement on August 13.
The statement read: ‘After 11 years together, we have made the difficult decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship.
‘We will always be close friends and, as a family, we will continue to work together to raise our two sons.
