SA vs BAN: South Africa Playing XI vs Bangladesh (Predicted), ICC T20 World Cup 2022. South Africa-SA will meet Bangladesh on Thursday 27th October 2022 at Sydney Cricket Ground, SCG, Sydney, Australia in the 22nd match-the 10th Super 12 match.

Bangladesh won against the Netherlands by 9 runs on the date while the Proteas will play against Zimbabwe on the same day 24th October before taking on Bangladesh. The South Africa-Zimbabwe match start has been delayed due to rain.

South Africa- SA are clearing the mental fog from their back-to-back series T20I and ODI series defeats in India and have begun their final preparations for the Men’s ICC T20 World Cup 2022 with a nine-wicket win over New Zealand in the first of two warm-up matches. The team arrived in Australia last week, directly from India where they played six white-ball games and lost four.

Though South Africa were only in India for just over two weeks, they lost both the T20I and ODI series, leaving their World Cup hopes in both formats in disarray. The T20I series defeat was South Africa’s first in six series while their ODI trouncing has left them in a precarious position on the World Cup Super League points table – 11th – with only five matches left to play.

South Africa’s second warm-up game against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain. Bangladesh lost against Afghanistan by 62 runs in their first warm-up game.  In their warm-up match, New Zealand was completely outclassed by the Proteas (SA) in all three departments. The Kiwis were first shot down for just 98 by the South African bowlers. None of their batsmen could stay longer on the wicket.

Keshav Maharaj picked 3/17, Tabraiz Shamsi took 2/6 and Wayne Parnell took 2/8. Only Glenn Phillips (23), Martin Guptill (23), and Michael Bracewell (11) registered double-digit scores. And then Proteas batter Rilee Rossouw, who opened the batting scored a 32-ball unbeaten 54 to take them home in just 11.2 overs.

South Africa 100/1 in 11.2 overs (Rilee Rossouw 54*) beat New Zealand 98 all out (Guptill 23, Phillips 23, Maharaj 3/17, Shamsi 2/6, Parnell 2/8) by 9 wickets.

Bangladesh and South Africa are two nations that have been impressive in international cricket. However, both countries are yet to win the ICC World Cup. Bangladesh have shown considerable improvement in the cricket world over the last decade, whereas the Proteas are rising up again after the retirement of their legends.

SA middle-order batter Rassie van der Dussen is still struggling with his finger injury and keeping in mind, South Africa management has not included him in the T20 World Cup squad. Left-arm quick Marco Jansen was also included in South Africa’s 15-member squad for the T20I World Cup 2022 in Australia.  The 22-year-old pacer replaced all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius, who was ruled out of the T20I showpiece after sustaining an injury in his left thumb during the recent T20 series against India.

Another option is seam-bowling allrounder Andile Phehlukwayo who made himself a part of South Africa’s white-ball sides with his skill at the death, the ability to disguise his slower ball, and the ability to contribute with the bat as a finisher.
