Young Indian pace bowling sensation and young J&K pacer Umran Malik has finally got a debut call in the ODI cricket. He is currently in action during the first of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The 23-year-old has impressed everyone with his amazing skills and sheer pace during the series opener against the Kiwis.

Umran also stunned everyone with his raw pace when he was bowling the second over of his spell during the 13th over of the New Zealand innings. Indian cricket fans are also overwhelmed with the performance of Umran in the first ODI of his international career for India.

Furthermore, talking about the update of the match at the moment, the Indian team posted a total of 306 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Other than Gill, skipper Shikhar Dhawan and middle-order batter Shreyas also played the crucial knocks of 72 and 80 runs respectively. Young all-rounder Washington Sundar also played a quick game of 37 runs off just 16 balls with three boundaries and three sixes to his name. Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson scalped three wickets each for the hosts in the first innings.

While chasing the target, the hosts have scored 251 runs for the loss of three wickets so far in 42 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Tom Latham has scored a brilliant century and is currently playing on 104 runs off 82 balls with 14 boundaries and three sixes. Skipper Kane Williamson is accompanying Latham there in the middle with an individual score of 79 runs with five boundaries and a six to his name.

Umran Malik has scalped two wickets so far alongside the one wicket claimed by pace-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur.
